What a great first experience! Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Took my wife here for Valentine's Day. Was looking for an Indian restaurant that had exceptional food and a more upscale atmosphere; happily, this had both. They had the place decorated for the holiday, which just added to the experience. We tried a variety of dishes, more than we could eat, knowing we'd have leftovers. All were perfectly prepared and delicious. Austin (probably not spelled exactly right) was a fantastic waiter that offered great suggestions and was so pleasant. I'd highly recommend.

I've tried all of the Indian restaurants in Edison and am consistently blown away by the quality of food and service that Moghul delivers. Despite being extremely busy, the restaurant accommodated my family of 9, including 3 high chairs. Despite the chaos that comes with having 3 small children at dinner, the restaurant staff took it in stride and had a smile on their face the whole time. The food was also second to none. The jugalbandi chaat, gobi, paneer makhani, malai kofta were all out of this world, and the kulfi was probably the best I've ever eaten. The entire meal was delcious. At the end, we accidentally left our leftovers at the table and the owner actually ran out to the parking lot (in the cold) to make sure we got our food to go. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and family.

I went for brunch on a Sunday and had the buffet with family+mango lassi add on! It was super busy but the service was warm and accommodating! I loved the food! Don't skip the dosa table people! And the gulab jamun was fire like always! I loved the hot masala tea they kept stocked and of course the mango lassi never ever disappoints!

This place is over hyped in my opinion. The daal makhani which they brag about cooking for many hours has no basic flavors and tastes overcooked. I will give them 10/10 for their dahi bhalla which comes topped with ginger julienne that adds extra flavor. The ambiance is good and so is the service. I typically go for takeouts and I don't see this place crowded. The host is very professional.

One of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to. Came here with my family, all of who are quite selective about Indian food, and we were all blown away. I'm surprised and disappointed to see a lot of reviews tanking the rating here just based on price? Not every Indian place needs to be cheap or be a buffet. I appreciate that this place has a beautiful interior, quality cutlery and dishes, and of course most importantly insanely good food. I've definitely seen places that are faux-fancy or are all looks but the food itself is not great or the quantity is super low, this is not one of those places. It's pricy, ($25 curries), but you still get enough food and the quality is fantastic. The bar has superb cocktails and good beer selection too, and service is fast moving even with the large crowd (looks like almost 100 people right now). Overall, this is one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to. I will definitely be bringing friends. And I challenge folks to not lump Indian food into some category of having to be cheap - every other cuisine has a full range of price points and types, let's not force Indian restaurants to be only one type of way.

Came here for the 40th anniversary with friends and had such a great time. With their throwback prices we ordered cocktails, samosas, multiple dishes and dessert. While it was busy we didn't feel rushed, waiter was really attentive and checked in enough where it wasn't too often and we didn't feel neglected. The cocktails were great, had some spice to is which I really enjoy. Usually there 1-2 cocktails that are spicy on a menu but this had a few different options. There are lights on the table which made the ambiance really nice, the right amount where you can see each other and not too dim. The food was a bit more spicy than I'm used to but it had the right amount of heat. Food was overall great, throwback prices are even better, cocktails were a bit pricey at $16 each and we really enjoyed dinner here.
